Anybody else getting nervous ordering fast food in this racially tense climate?

Just ordered something from a fast food place with a crew who was exclusively a different race than me. It took longer than one would expect and my paranoia got the better of me.
Anybody think that some Twitter activist might think they're making a statement spitting in an oppressor's food?
I'm just being paranoid, right?

I haven't been nervous, but I do think that I have seen a bit of a shift in the way folks have talked to me when ordering....either they are over-the-top friendly or they don't say much or even make much eye contact. I noticed this last week when the shite was in the news, but things seem to be back to normal now...

oh hell yeah I think about it. If they see "whitety" coming, you are definitely getting spit, a booger or a nut drag with the bread.

I went to Popeyes for lunch and I was the only white in there with maybe 15 AA workers/customers. I'm not going to lie it was a tense 10 min

Nah, the Latinos and Asians (vast majority of delivery guys here) still work the the dollar bill, at least in NYC
