Close your eyes and press on them firmly for about 10-15 seconds. If it doesn’t work the first time, don’t bother trying again.

Fold a paper towel several times and put over the top of a glass of water, drink the water through the paper towel

Take a sip or two of pickle juice. I don’t know why this works, but it does.

Get someone to rub your eyelids for about 20 seconds. Cannot do it yourself. Don't ask me why it works but it does.

Try slowly eating a piece of bread without chasing it with water. That seems to settle my stomach when I get them.

Avoid carbonated drinks. "They the Devil".

Only saw one thing work before

Guy had the hiccups for what seemed like 2 days. Complaining about not being able to get rid of them. Bartender gets sick of hearing it, slaps a $100 bill on the bar, says hiccup again and you can have it. No more hiccups.

I actually have the answer to this.

Get a glass of water, bend over and drink it. You Only have to drink a swallow or two. I was showed this trick a couple years ago while drunk. It has worked every time I have had hiccups, and every time someone else had hiccups and I told them about it.

The only thing is to pour the glass away from you and you have to drink on the opposite side of the cup then you normally would. I don’t know how it works, but it does. I think it fricks with your brain a little.

A deep breath and hold it in

Considering it’s the breathing muscle you stop it by not using it
