Have owned nothing but Dodge trucks for the last 40 years...current is a '14 1500, bought new with 90K miles now, only thing fixed/replaced was a set of tires.

I just bought a Rebel a few months ago. It's got the best interior of all full size trucks. Love the Ram box. The Hemi has plenty of power for my needs. They've done great things in terms of reliability.

This board hates Dodge Rams for some reason. I had a 1500 the hemi and it was a great truck

Probably a great reliable truck for 6 months or so.

Only that it's a 1st production year; never buy 1st production year vehicles.

recently purchased a '19 Ram (no longer Dodge). absolutely love the truck. by far nicest interior of any truck on the market, and i love the look of the new ones. i never liked the look of them in years past. the new truck got me to switch from gmc. considered f150, but for the $, you get more truck with the ram.

eta. they have been making these trucks for over a year already. several issues with early production models (usually immediately identified problems). i haven't had any so far. fit and finish is excellent.

Update:

Ended up getting the truck. Going to upgrade the wheels though and sell the bed cover.

Just be sure you have money set aside for repair costs.

I've got a '99 Ram 1500 it's got 412k or so on it, with a rebuilt transmission being the most work done to it.

I have a 2013 5.7L Big Horn. Great truck. 140K repair-free miles

My one caution is the suspension is rather rigid compared to Sierra and F-150. But my truck can haul arse

Also the paint scratches far easier than anything I've ever owned

While I have not seen that myself, I know Salsbury usually lets you stop by their lot when their "scratch repair" guy is there to touch things up.

I did that once or twice over the last two years.

I drove one at the last Nashville Auto Show and the new Silverado. Between the two I found the Ram to be better.
