I would fill up about 5 bottles with water each night and sit them on the counter. The next day, or middle of the night, put the right amount of scoops in, screw the lid on, shake and feed to my child. No need for a machine to mix it. Room temp is fine, it doesn't need to be warm.

Another contraption for lazy people who have more money than they have sense.

It takes me all of 30 seconds to make a bottle at night and I save the money. That's 2 months worth of formula.

Yes, and it's an awesome device. No more waking up out of it trying to make and warm a bottle.

We had trouble with one formula that wasn't listed in the settings guide so we switched to one that was. No issues since.

Is Nutrimagen similar to Neosure? There is a setting for Neosure and it worked perfectly.

Could you do it the other way too - pre-measure the powder in dry bottles and just add room temp water? Seems like that might be easier to measure at 2 AM. We only supplemented formula at the very end of the first year with my first born; and by that point (10 months or so) we were way past midnight feedings.

This mixes a large batch of formula with less foaming for like 12 bucks. Keep in the fridge and run hot water over the bottle for a minute to warm up. Or, teach your baby to like cold formula . We had to give formula for a while and never once felt the need for anow expensive machine.

Is mixing a liquid and a powder and shaking a bottle that difficult?

Exactly. Most formulas are pretty easy to mix (so many scoops to so many ounces).

And in the NICU and Peds floor we give formula at room temperature alllllll the time, won't hurt the baby. Only time we heat up formula or expressed breast milk is if it has been refrigerated.

I've got a 3 yo and a 5 day old at home right now. That thing is completely retarded. Mixing water and powdered formula is not that difficult, no matter what time of night it is. Or use pre-mixed formula.

Breastfeeding really isn't any better than formula feeding. That's all a lie made up to keep women at home. But this is the OT, so I'm sure you prefer that anyway.

I don't think anyone has accused it as being difficult, but some of this crap sure does make it easier.

It's not a necessity, it's convience

Nutramigen is difficult to mix. I made it in a blender years ago. Don't mess with this formula in your machine. If your baby gets too much water he/she could be in very bad trouble. Are you able to sterilize parts of the machine that come in contact with the formula? If not, they are a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. A dumb idea if you ask me.

Adding: look up water intoxication in an infant, also look up what happened when Nestle formulas were mixed wrong. You are being very dangerous.

My son was breastfed and my wife worked full time. She pumped every day at work. Some women are just lazy (not referring to op).

My wife just had triplets so I got this thing. It's still in the box because they're in the NICU, so I can't give a review but it seems to have some value.

Nursing is much easier if your argument is laziness. No bottles to wash and nothing to mix or go to the store and buy. Night feedings were a breeze

It seems like a cool toy to me. But I love my keurig. I'm pretty jealous of all the convenience gadgets new parents get tbh

God bless you guys! Hope those babies graduate from the NICU soon and get to finally come home

Last week I was sent to the NICU and cared for natural triplets. Family had 3 other boys at home(they were trying for a 4th in hopes of a girl). Those three babies (two boys and a girl)kept me busy all night I'd sit to feed one, it's like the other two knew it and would wake up crying as if to say "hey now, it's my turn to eat!".

Mom was a trooper as well, she insisted on breastfeeding so visited the NICU sometimes twice a day to drop off breastmilk she had pumped.
