I'm currently in their MHA program.

I think LSU-S type online programs have a role in the market. It’s a check the box for those that are having it paid by the employer and/or need the masters degree to advance in current company. There’s also the exposure to topical material that should be helpful.
I do not view LSUS online (and similar programs) as ideal for someone looking to pivot a career, build a network, or wanting to open a door. Full time programs are generally better for career pivots (albeit some working professional programs are getting better in this regard). Depending on career aspirations, prestige of the program will offer opportunities that don’t exist elsewhere. If someone wants to get into top tier consulting, investment banking, F500 brand management or rotational programs…it typically requires some badge value to have those companies actively recruit the school.

Checked out LSUS and ULL. Ended up choosing ULL based on feedback from coworkers. Based on my experience, ULL is a solid program. My concentration is General MBA, although they offer multiple other concentrations. I will grad at conclusion of Summer session which will make it a total of 18 months.

I did it 3-4 years ago. The time commitment was tough because I was working full time and had 4 kids. My experience had opened plenty of doors for career advancement but I was getting passed over by folks with their masters degrees.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to earn a executive level position earning 2-3 x’s more than prior to the MBA.
I will say, if you were looking to change industries/fields or had little to no professional experience, it probably wouldn’t be in your best interest.

I just finished my 1st class for MBA through U of South Carolina Aiken with Project Management concentration. I graduated LSU in Construction Management in 2003 so way out of practice. My employer pays 75%, it will not gain me a straight salary increase but will open up more movement in the company with pay increases, or more opportunities if ever make a move.

Depends on your field and if you want to go into management. It wouldn't help me at all
Employer paid for mine with a duel specialization in data analytics and emerging technologies. Took the GMAT and was accepted to LSU online, not Shreveport. LSU-S has a GMAT waiver. You take a series 7 week modules until completion of the program, all done online it takes two years to complete a dual specialization. It can be done while working full time, taking care of kids, and being there for your wife, challenging from a time management perspective, and it’s only short lived, but can be done. If you want to move into a technical product management position, obtaining the MBA is basically a necessary checkbox. Some say it matters where you get your MBA, but if you’re already established at your company and looking for a lateral move into a higher and different department, HR and hiring managers absolutely do not care where you get your MBA from, aside from the U-Phoenix route.

If ever there was a degree more useless than an MBA, it's probably an online MBA.

For the most part, MBAs are a waste of time, energy and resources.
