Any of you recommend a dog toy for brain engagement?

My two year old vizsla is a great dog, but if I am working at home she just sits in my lap and naps. I do not love the fact, but accept, they are naturally wanting to always be with their owners. However, I want her to be more independent. Aside from her workout times and dog park hour each day, I want her to move without me having to initiate it. Is there a toy/brain game you use for your dogs that can keep them engaged?

If she likes chasing balls, maybe an automatic ball thrower? She'd have to be smart enough to learn how to put them back in the bucket or you'd have to facilitate.

Get a pit and have them spar throughout the day.

while not a toy
my scnoodle loves dog tv on youtube.
he will not take his eye off of the screen
he now associates noises with certain animals and hunts like hell on my 3-1/2 acres.

I taught my schnauzer how to drop the tennis ball into the automatic thrower. He absolutely loved chasing them. Also had treat puzzles that made him learn how they work, different puzzles have different solving methods. You can put tiny pieces of a treat or even dry kibble in them.

We have rules here for a reason and Rule #1 is not in your OP
This will have to do until we get a right proper pic of said pup.

Try Bully Sticks. They are great for their dental health and for their mental stimulation. They last a long time too.

And an alternative to rawhide which isn’t good for them.

We used to have this for our dog. You hide a little food under each panel and they have to use their paw or nose to slide them around. Our golden doodle figured it out pretty quick but even then it takes time to figure out which ones still have food underneath. The brand is Outward Hound

I will sometimes load up a “snuffle ball” with training treats. It takes my dog an hour or two to find them all.
