any of you hate BR?

I'm born and raised here, and despise this place more than anything now.
feel like in recent years it's just gotten worse and worse. every "nice" thing BR pops up with, gets ruined. no development. traffic sucks dick. schools suck. i could go on and on.
graduate in may... have a job setup in houston and couldn't be more excited.

I love Baton Rouge. I live in a nice subdivision and am retired with wife a year away from retiring. It all depends on what you want out of a city. I don't do traffic. I handle my business early or late in the evening. I do like downtown BR around spring time with the outdoor bands and stuff. Great food and nice people in this town. Would love to retire at my lake house in North La. but aging parents need my attention right now.

Get a life..... I'm being honest.
For you to actually allow yourself to experience 'hate' for a city and to obviously let it bother you to this point says much more about you than it does the city of BR.
On the other hand BR has serious flaws but acting like it's the worse place to grow up, live, raise family, retire, is just stupid.
But go ahead and bitch about it and go run to Houston and tell every person you encounter how you just couldn't wait to hightail it out of the forsaken hell hole

TBH, I haven't lived in BR in almost ten years but I've grown to hate it in recent years mostly due to this website.

Why don't you whine a little more about it. It's a god damn mid sized city in the south with a large population of uneducated living off of government assistance. Not unlike many of other similar sized cities in the region.
But go work yourself in a tenzy before running to Houston. Don't do anything about changing it. Don't prop up the possible good things of BR. frick all that, lets make sure anyone ever thinking of going to BR to possibly make it better knows they should just stay way. frick all those Houston HS athletes, they need to know they don't want to go to LSU and have to live in BR.

If Baton Rouge doesn't suck, why would anyone (who doesn't have family there) want to live there? It has all of New Orleans' problems with none of the charm.
