It seems to have very symptomatic withdrawals and can take a while. Forcing some exercise and cardio can help break through fog.

I wouldn’t take it Unless it’s about depression, but not having typical sexual side effects is a benefit of wellbutrin. There is one or two newer SSRIs that claim less sexual side effect, but I can’t remember names (newer as compared to Prozac or others not necessarily brand new).

If on low end to close to middle of “normal” parameters it could still low for what is normal for you (but also normal & you kind of need some fairly recent tests from before for for you to compare and know for sure). I would also have them test for estradiol and see if too high. If testosterone has some room to spare before considered high you could asked for short term treatment in low dosage in that foam application. Just see if foam raising level some helps before getting into injections.

Also get prescribed some generic tadalafil. You can take the smaller dosage daily for a little while. Still need to be aroused, but it’s half life is 18 hours helping to ensure that area works when aroused (versus then popping a pill and waiting 30 to 40 minutes on empty stomach) to limit erection stuff from getting inside your mind and becoming problem even after you are completely over Effexor withdrawal.

Years ago, a personal friend had great results with Paxil except for when "he gave it his gun" his entire midsection felt like it was on fire.

In his late 50's twice a day sex after getting off of it. Vitamin P was the cure for his depression

I'm a pharmacist and when people start taking new SSRI/SNRI I always counsel them that the majority of people notice sexual side effects.

Bupropion (Wellbutrin) can sometimes even increase libido, it's the one I recommend for people who can't tolerate the sexual problems of the SSRIs

Wellbutrin is probably the best antidepressant medication when it comes to side effects. Shouldn’t affect sexual function.

I had the same problem when I was on Sertraline OP. Switched to Buproprion aka Wellbutrin and the plumbing is back to normal.

Effexor is the worst at killing the ability to orgasm, and I’m a woman. Wellbutrin doesn’t have any sexual side effects.
