Flacid conundrum
ED would depress me
Anti depressants = ED
No ED makes me happy
Drink bourbon when happy
Bourbon gives ED
Take viagra with the Bourbon and be like

Effexor
fricking terrible drug for its side effect profile alone. but I agree with your docs, wait it out.

I haven’t taken antidepressants but it’s been well known for years that a rather common side effect is suppression of libido.

Zoloft
This is comparing apples to oranges but my wife had an IUD for 5 years and if we did it 10 times in a year, I was lucky. No drive at all. When she had it removed, I couldn't keep her off me. Now, if she doesn't get it 5x a week, she's VERY bitchy.

Yes, most are given to guys with premature ejaculation
I took Prozac for 2 years. Craziness feeling in the world getting a BJ and not feeling anything. F that
Do a non SSRI
Wellbutrin and Nefazadone are good for no sex side effects

Use this to your advantage. Make her get kinky.
I started taking Paxil just for the side effect. Before, I could get about 5 minutes of careful penetration. Now 4 months later, last night I absolutely ravaged her for Bout 20 minutes.
I wish the medical community took sexual performance more seriously. My relationship has markedly changed and my wife has never looked at me or treated me like she has the last month or two.

I take 50mg Zoloft a day I get 5mg Cialis from My Dr. My wife, 49 years old and still in great shape, started pellet hormone therapy six months ago. We're experiencing the "dating sex" again. fricking awesome.

Between the lexapro, buspirone, lotensin & topril I've just got a skin tag sitting above my beanbag.

I got off of Effexor a few weeks ago, and it has been hard to become aroused and maintain an erection for sex.

I've never taken anti-depressants though, admittedly.

I had my testosterone tested twice and it came back normal according to the parameters that they use nowadays, so my doctor doesn’t want to do testosterone therapy. They want me to wait a few more weeks and see if the issue resolves itself since I just recently got off of the Effexor.
I’ve been reading up on it and it looks like low dopamine can lead to low libido and low ability to perform. There’s a different type of antidepressant called Wellbutrin that works on dopamine that I’m thinking about asking my doctor about.
Any of you guys any thoughts on what I should do? It’s taking a toll on my relationship with my fiancée because she’s blaming herself for it and thinking it’s her fault. (:
Sounds like you need to spend more time in the gym. I'm always horny and I take Effexor.

i had the same problem when i first got on Effexor, but it gradually went away. i was on it for about seven years and got off it earlier this year. no side effects getting off it though, other than the notorious brain zaps for a few days.
glad to be off that shite though. i never shoudl have gotten on it.

Not to bash you or anything but it truly worries me that so many people are on antidepressants..

Sounds like you need to get on some antidepressants if you're that worried.
