home hair removal

It takes several treatments, but this things works well. I did it on my neck line to keep it cleaned up, under my chin and down my chest and stomach, and a few spot on my back, but my back wasn't very hairy. I saw great results after about 3-4 treatments.

I really did it because I'm lazy and hated trimming or shaving those areas all the time, and after about 6 months only a few thin hairs have started to come back.

Try to trim one a month. Gotta hack down the trees.

Use electric clippers/razor.

Don't shave it smooth, but you gotta at least get it to a manageable length. No girl likes picking hair out of her teeth.

The term "manscaping" is super gay but the standard procedure of trimming excess hair growth should be seen on the same grooming level as trimming toenails, getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist, wiping your butt, etc.

In other words, not really worthy of comparing notes. You keep yourself from turning into a clearing-and-grubbing project and find something more compelling to talk about. That's it.

Clean shaven. I use a separate blade, not the same one for my face. On the pubes I use American Crew Lubricating Shave Oil to eliminate razor bumps. Just use soap on the balls because the shave oil has a slight burn. I've been manscaping for over 15 years now. I was a pioneer. I never get cuts or anything from the razor and don't get the trepidation most have about this.

does a straight work better than a trimmer for getting it tight?

Sounds like you need better trimmers. Mach 3 for the shaft and sack. Just gotta pull the sack tight.

The better question would be where do you do it and how do you go about cleaning up the mess?

Hotel tubs when traveling FTW.

I trim my beard and get pretty regular haircuts so I guess so. I might hit up the back hair if I'm going to the beach. The rest is all natural glory.

I was brave one time and used Nair depilatory cream. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt at all. Some people can't use it because it burns like hell on their skin. For me, it pretty efficiently got rid of the bulk of the hair and made shaving the rest much easier. Nair for some reason does nothing to scrotum hair though.

Shave shaft and balls with a regular razor. Never had any complications.
