Any of you "baws" ever been to the Angola rodeo?

I saw a video where they glued a poker chip to the bull's head and turned the inmates loose in the arena with the bull. Whoever got the poker chip off the bull won some money. It was a hoot to watch.

Many years ago. Some crazy shite, but most of them had a bunch of years to serve and didn't give a shite about getting maimed or killed.

The wife and I went about 5 years ago and had a good time. It is a bit of a drive for a days activities, but once there, it was a hoot. The inmates have a section where they display their crafts for sale and it's amazing some of the talent these guys possess.
The rodeo portion was a blast and those guys are not anywhere near pro level rodeo folk, but they do give it their level best.

I have. It was very enjoyable, and the food booths were good, but the one way road leading in has massive traffic delays getting in and out.
It was funny, because the inmates were in this seating surrounded by a cage, and this obviously gay guy and his lover walked by the inmates and they were all heckling him and calling him names. Then the gay guy kept blowing kisses to the inmates throughout the rodeo.
