My family had a good time. I ended up buying a nice wallet there. My wife and I have talked about going back and getting some of the wood furniture. You can usually bargain with the inmates and get some good deals and the craftsmanship of the products is pretty amazing.

I've seen it in person. It was actually sick. Watching ten to twenty convicts trying to get that chip and getting rocked by the bull to no avail. Then there was this one dude who apparently was the man who went in and grabbed it no problem after the others failed. He was giving everyone else a chance, crazy.

Yes...that rodeo is an interesting event. The place is so remote, that it is a hell of a long day to attend. The whole thing is a pretty interesting glimpse into the workings of the prison.

Went several years back. During the "last to sit at the table" part of the rodeo, a bull wrecked the inmate so bad, EMT had to give him CPR while the crowd chanted "let him die, let him die". J/K made the last part up.
