This can't be overstated. They also take mods like a champ. 750 reliable wheel horsepower on stock internals puts it in the same breath as a 2JZ. Enough said.

Right next to the German border, they are built in a modern factory that Ineos bought from Mercedes. Also note Ineos is not some company that just popped up to build an odd vehicle they are a over $50 billion a year company. It is a passion project of Jim Ratcliffe the founder of Ineos. He did it because of his love of the old LR Defenders and the name comes from the pub he was drinking in when he had the genesis.

My buddy ended up getting a Defender just due to the Grenadier lacking certain comforts for his wife driving it, but he said it has the absolute best fit and finish on any vehicle he has seen.

Crap, only dealer is in Houston, if you need a repair you either have to drive it there or if they really like you they will drive you a rental car. I went without mine for 4 months and sold it, bought a LX600.

Friend of mine runs a repair shop for the Grenadiers in Houston. He always has work lined up too and it's not even his real job

I keep reading a lot of people who lifted having a lot of issues.

I don't think a lot of the lifts nor installers account for all time 4WD and think this is like lifting a jeep or bronco.

I’d have one for secondary vehicle, but not primary. I heard they’re rough as hell

Jesus, the figs that post here about cars.

Buy that POS and let us know how it goes. I assume you live off-grid, because that's all it's remotely good for.

They are pieces of crap. Know from first hand experience. This is not surprising lol

Just buy an overhauled Defender already.

If you’re shopping in that price range, you could buy a used Lexus GX for $40,000 less. 1000 times more reliable.

Power stroke 2025 and a Lexus 350 suv (v6) but is actually suitable for the size. That huge wagon you have is way underpowered

Side note: we test drove one and decided ours was just as nice.

Saw one on i49 the other day. Looked like a replica of a Land Rover or something.

The LX600 has the same exact power-to-weight ratio.

You have a very nice vehicle don’t get me wrong but I would have to have a v8 if I paid that kind of money. Those turbo chargers are trash.

I didn’t realize the Grenadier is only $75-$80,000. I thought it was over $100k.

Would still take the Lexus at equal price. A loaded 2026 has a sticker of $85k.

I was more worried about reliabilty, power to weight, repairability and parts availablility. The number of cylinders is inconsequential.

That Ineos/BMW deturned the engine for less stress and more reliabilty just makes it all the better. I have another car for speed and power.
