Any ideas on when Toyota will update the Tundra?

Got a 2017 Tundra which I love. It’s paid for so I’m not in any rush to upgrade but curious as to anyone knowing if an update is scheduled for 2020.

I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find anything. They’re due for an upgrade as the other big 3 are all completely redesigned. The Tundra has looked relatively the same for nearly 10 years.

They’re updating some of the electronics in 2020.

Ive heard that since its very popular with the gays they petitioned to not have the design changed as to not offend anyone.

I like my 2016 Tundra, but the interior and features are extremely dated compared to Ford and GM.

It's been a good truck, but I'll be looking at other brands as well when I get a new one.

Sounds like you shouldn't be concerned with a body style change for about another 12 - 13 years....

I agree. I’ve thought the same thing but man those American trucks are ridiculous expensive. No way I can in good conscious drop nearly $50,000 on an XLT. My Tundra SR5 Crew Max stickered for 39,000 - and looks killer with the BFG’s, running boards, and leveling kit.

You have a 2017? Just tell people it’s a 2020. No one will ever know the difference

Why do trucks have such shitty dash/infotainment?

I get it that it's a truck... function over style .. but how hard is it to make something with some square edges and nice screen? Ex. The new Rams still look like the touchscreen is inflatable

If pushing into the rear of ford and Chevy owners to clear the road makes me gay, so be it.

I’ve had one just shy of 300k miles, next one 386k miles with no issues. What do you want updated?

Tundra is an incredible, solid honest truck. It’s got “old school” engines which happen to be bulletproof reliable. Most of the “Baws” in here only care about the latest in BS infotainment systems & an 84 month loan. If I was in market today for a large truck, I would not hesitate to buy a new crewmax Tundra.

Last major “redesign” was 2014. The one before that was 2007. Each design lasts for seven years with just small tweaks each year. Next major should be 2021. Last one wasn’t anything earth shattering still so I can’t tell you how much different to expect.

Exactly. Slap on a fresh pair of chrome nuts and it will look brand new.

Seriously though Toyota’s are the shite. Love my Tacoma

If it’s not broken don’t fix it.

The others are looking more like a tundra I find these days.

Put an Alpine ilx-w650 with 7" screen in the dash for $299. You're updated.
