I need a 3/4” granite countertop opening cut out about 1/2”. I bought this Thermador cooktop today, but it doesn’t fit due to the downdraft. The stove needs to slide forward about 1/2”.

Anyone?

get a 4.5" grinder with a few blades and trim it your self. Also get a helper to hold a vacuum to catch the dust you will make by cutting the stone.

I've got no helpful info, but I like your countertops. What's it called?

Nah, more of a subtle "my house has utilities" brag.

Looks like Baltic Brown. Either do it yourself as someone suggested or try some different shops I town. Gonna take a couple hundred to make it worthwhile for someone to do it.

Excellent suggestion, but make it four helpers, each with a shop vac. There were two of us during my install and it still looked like someone set off a smoke bomb in the cabinet below.

I have a 21 year old Viking range and a 21 year old Sub Zero freezer and fridge and not once have I had a problem. I’d say I got what I paid for.

Sorry you can’t see the forest for the trees.
