Any compulsive gamblers here?

We have quite a few OTers who struggle with drugs and alcohol. I've read that gambling is one of the tougher addictions to break. Anyone out there with this problem?

I once battled addiction to the Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around...

I recently tried to estimate my losses gambling on stocks and football over the last 20 years. Has to be 200k plus.

My boss is hooked on video poker. We go to lunch sometimes together and he always stopping on the way back to work. Always $4 a pop, stays broke

I am a gambler, but I am not a compulsive gambler.
Most of the time I quiet when I am ahead.. There are times when I will get greedy and try to win more.
Also, I have a limit to lose. When I lose, I don't keep going to try to recover my losses.
It's something I enjoy doing and realize I am not going to win every time. And I like to play poker & sports betting because I can use information to decide what I want to do (instead of putting money in a slot machine, hitting an button with no thought process involved). I also like to play blackjack and craps. Craps is just a fun game to play IMO..
But I have seen compulsive gamblers and they are not doing it because they enjoy it.
