How many people have worn a mask and still gotten the covid? Seems like if mask work no one would get the covid if they wear their mask.
I'm no pro mask guy. But nobody is wearing the right mask the right way. If they did, they help.
They aren't, so it isn't. It's for show.

They not testing for flu.

quote:I know exactly that. When doing some work at a job I had to wear a shitty mask like ones people wear, but it wasn't worth a frick and wanted to wear a n95 mask. I couldn't do it unless I was properly fitted for it, which I needed the mask for right then, not 2 weeks later or how ever long it would take to get approved for it. Even then I couldn't have any facial hair, otherwise it wouldn't be effective. Yet you see tons of people wearing a mask and having it on improperly.

Larger droplets settle quickly, whereas small airborne droplet nuclei are transported over longer distances by airflow (22). The distance droplets traverse depends on how forcefully a person coughs or sneezes. Large respiratory droplets containing pathogens like influenza can travel approximately 6 feet when a sick person coughs or sneezes (23–25). The aerosol expelled from the mouth during a cough emerges not as individual droplets but as a jet with a leading vortex (25) that has properties similar to those of a puff from a pressurized metered-dose inhaler (26, 27) and can penetrate an impressive distance into the surrounding ambient air before finally dissipating (28). Thus, emissions from coughs and sneezes contain droplets of various sizes suspended in a multiphase turbulent buoyant cloud (29). Turbulence sweeps around smaller particles, and eddies within the cloud resuspend the particles so that they settle more slowly, with some particles traveling more than 8 feet horizontally through the air (28, 29). Moreover, smaller droplets could spray 13–20 feet vertically in the air, which is theoretically high enough to enter and travel through ceiling ventilation systems in some buildings (29).

granted this is just about influenza, but the premise still is the same for covid. Various sized water droplets and aerosols are shot out during coughing, sneezing, and just regular talking. Yeah the mask are good at preventing you from spitting on people, but I haven't had that problem so far in my life, but the masks not rated at n95 or greater, still doesn't filter out aerosols, which can be shot out at great force.

Most people aren't wearing an n95 mask, but a cloth mask. Cloth masks don't filter out those aerosols, especially when shot out of your mouth or nose under great pressure. But another 100 days otter do the trick.

If masks don’t work at all, where did the flu go this year? I’ll hang up and listen. TIA
Coming from a doctor....we aren't testing for the flu because a symptomatic negative covid patient will be quarantined with basically the same treatment as the fly...which is treat the symptoms.
So the flu did not disappear, but it is redundant to test for the flu.
Every mask study that shows they work there is also one that shows they don't. Since mask policies have been in effect and we still have covid spikes it's safe to guess that they aren't as effective as you think they are.
I've been a lurker for a while, but I decided to pop my cherry on your stupid post. So congrats.

Hidden in the inflated Covid numbers.

Flu repackaged as the covid.

Depends on the hospital. Many in the NOLA area are checking covid and flu with the swab tests. That's been going on since at least november that they've been run concurrently.
Also, then you're doing them a disservice if they're symptomatic and not testing for the flu either, especially early on. Tamiflu, Xofluza, etc...options for influenza to reduce symptomatology and mortality/morbidity

wrong.
two different diseases, two different options. one with relatively none. one with MULTIPLE proven options.

There’s been articles speculating on this. Leading answer I’ve read is that the flu typically originates in China and migrates to South America in the summer and works its way to North America in the winter.
When international travel shite down in March the flu didn’t spread as it normally does. This was backed up by basically no flu cases in the summer in S America.
It’s as good a theory as any.

It’s being counted as Covid. You’d have to be a complete moron to think the flu just vanished like this

Wear your mask if you think it protects you from me and me from you, but I'm not scared of you. So, it should be a personal choice.
Good Day.
Good Day.

It’s here. Mask people catch the corona too. Idiot.

The problem is science doesn’t support that anything lower than N95 masks are effective. But if you believe in magic, that’s a whole different story.

Had the rona. Still don't understand the lemming freakout. I've had sinus infections that were far worse than that. Hell, I wish all my sinus infections were as easy as corona. Only bright side was that I got a two week off paid vacation. You don't get that with a sinus infection.

Some people have bad reactions to it for whatever reason. It was essentially a head cold for me minus losing my taste for a few days.

Only thing that sucked was coffee tasted like shite. I got it on Christmas Eve. My smell came back quick but my taste got messed up. Some stuff tasted normal (esp. bourbon) but some stuff tasted horrible. Everything tastes fine now.
