No? What separates Catholicism from the other sub divisions of Christianity, other than the belief that the pope is infallible?

Disagreeing with the Pope doesn’t make you not a Catholic.
That’s just silly.

Because that’s not what Catholics believe.

but aren't there a grand total of two ex cathedra, and therefore purported infallible, pronouncements from popes, ever?
By highlighting the fact that there hasn’t been very many means you would have a problem if there had been a lot. Not sure your pope logic holds up

No,it just means there’s a very high bar for the pope speaking infallibly. There’s a criteria that must be met, and in the 2000 years of the Catholic Church it’s happened only twice.
The Immaculate Conception of Mary, and;
The Assumption of Mary
That’s it, that’s the list.

All of canon law and the catechism is supposedly untouchable. So that’s some BS about two instances.
The pope presided over all decisions in the Middle Ages and beyond.
Every encyclical ever produced is allegedly infallible. There are nearly 300.
That said, I have great respect for Roman Catholics who take their faith seriously. I can’t say the same for the fundamentalists, who I hesitate to call “Protestants”. They’re not.

I'm Catholic but it would be great to get one of these books.

No pope since 1870 has designated an encyclical as an exercise of papal infallibility, which requires three conditions: 1) the subject is a matter of faith or morals, 2) the pope must be teaching as supreme pastor, and 3) the pope must indicate that the teaching is infallible.

I am Catholic. Not practicing, but if it went down I am with the Catholics. Not all of them.. Like the priest who are kiddie touchers.
How are we not surprised?

It’s the draw of sin, not the inefficiency of Gods word. Sin is pleasurable let’s face it. But at what cost?
Shall a man gain the world and lose his soul? I choose God.
As far as the mailings, maybe the adventists need to spend more time sharing Gods grace and salvation according to scripture.

The Pope is only infallible in the sense that he can change an existing doctrine in the Catholic church.
I don't think the Pope alone can do that. He must work with a teaching authority group called the Magisterium.

Religion crucified Jesus on the cross. Christianity is not religion. It’s trust in Jesus only for salvation. Religion tells you to look to them. Christ tells you to look to Him alone. The two do not coexist.

I wouldn't say I'm anti catholic but they lost me when they just moved priests around who molested kids instead of having them put in prison. And then the cover up from the top down
