Another Tigerland Shooting, time for LSU to buy it up

Everything past the bars is just a shooting range, if LSU doesnt do something its only a matter of time before a student gets killed or assaulted back there and then they'll have a bigger issue.

Sure it happens all the time but sooner or later itll be a bigger story outside of just BR news and LSU needs to at least convince people outside of BR that the campus is safe.

Actual students probably don’t hang out around there in the apartments behind the bars unless they’re buying dope. (A dangerous practice) I don’t think there’s a lot of studying all nighters going on over there. At one time there was but I’d elect to go to Middleton before that nowadays

I used to live back there. It wasn't luxurious but it was plenty adequate and I never felt unsafe. Sad what it's become

what a shame, that used to be a very cool area for students to live and play, the worst thing that happened when I was living there was the Rusty Domingue incident, I seem to recall of one reported sexual assault in Tigerland in all of the years that I was at LSU but I can't confirm

Blame Katrina.
The area was shite before then but the turnover of tenants from any remaining students to refugees killed the area.

If I were the bar owners of that area I'd band together and buy up those properties just to bulldoze them

I don’t think Fred’s can afford to buy out hundreds of thousands of dollars in ghetto apartments.
Best they could do would be to piecemeal it and slowly grab each building as they hit the market.
