With records dating back to 1880, The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration reported September was the hottest on land recorded globally at 60.71 degrees. 1.71 deg hotter that the 20th century avg.

So it got colder in 16, 17 and 18? Weird.

This past September in New Orleans nearly broke me and I’ve lived here most of my life. Africa hot.

Those records are inaccurate. Who was recording temps in the wilds of Russia, Alaska or the western US for the first seventy plus years of those records?
Lastly, it's always warming or cooling. I don't care.

They don't have but a few decades of fairly accurate temps in most remote places.

September was fricking awful

I love it when people act like it’s no big deal that it’s getting hotter. I personally think it sucks!

So you think they underestimate the years before 1990? Wouldn’t it have been just as easy to over estimate?

that sucks dawg, it's absolutely beautiful here
trees turning colors, it's in mid 50's to mid 60's.
This is great weather, little nippy late night, but enough to spoon with OL, or just use the comforter only. Leave window open and let that cool air flow.

I've learned you can't really debate global warming.
Skeptics eventually fall back on conspiracy theories which is a dead end, after a waste of time and explanation to get them to that point.
Most people don't care for pollution and dirty air, so at least there's some potential for agreement there.

Why does it even have to become a debate? Why can’t people just say “God damn, it sure was fricking hot last month” and move on?

Because of global warming is a problem
Posted on 10/23/19 at 3:28 pm to Cycledude
Because by moving on , we ignore the problem and it will just keep getting hotter.

If 2019 tied 2015, then it isn't another record and it isn't the hottest.
