I can remember time on TD anything even remotely posted negatively towards minorities especially blacks would get you banned.

You have articulated what I've began to think. Leftist were successful for the past 20 years in suppression of evidence for this behavior and discussions about it. Both have exploded due to social media and most rational people, left or right, are realizIng how destablizing this behavior is. When these people light off, politics no longer matters because anyone in their vicinity can instantly become a victim.
