Another day, another golf thread: what ball do you play with?

What ball are you using these days? Pro-V1's are pretty damn pricey, but I cant stand the feeling of hitting a rock either. Saw an add for some Callaway soft chrome or something the other day, are those fairly soft?
Just looking for a pretty soft ball that is not $50 a dozen...

Srixon Q Star in yellow. Great performing ball for the price. I have no need for tour level balls, and likely most people here don't either.

Chrome soft are good balls. Great feel around the greens. Bridgestone B330 are good and cost less than ProVs. Unfortunately, I haven't found a ball that can replace ProV1x when it comes to distance & feel. Sometimes you can find deals on mint refurbs that'll last a couple rounds

I usually buy "high" grade used Nike balls off of Ebay. Or whatever I find on the course. My favorite is to find balls with custom printed personalizations.

Whichever "tour" ball is on sale. Got some 2014 Bridgestone B330's on Amazon for around $30/dozen, currently hitting those.

I play the Pro-V1X and I love it. The trick is to not even look at the price, just buy it because it's the best ball.

yeah just saw that, for my game, 24 used balls cheaper than a dozen new ones is a no brainer, they say they are mint, good enough for me to hit in the woods and the water
