Cholera definitely has not disappeared at all
Still one of the most infectious and fatal in the world. Vaccine only between 28%-50% effective.
Just first world care does the rest.

I thought I remember reading how SARS and MERS both lost steam...so it appears that very well will be the case with this CV as well....I hope obviously

Speaking of Houston, Texas and relatives there. Yes, they just tested positive for the ‘rona. One has flu bug like symptoms, one is asymptomatic, and the other two in close contact tested positive but I don’t know their symptoms. None of them need hospitalization.

We’re dealing with a virus with a Likely 99.7% survival rate based on what is being released from recent studies. It’s also not targeting the young and healthy unlike 1918. Why are we really worried about anything but allowing herd immunity to build and letting this burn out?

2 coworkers were diagnosed last week. Only people I personally know who have it.

My friend is a jailer at Benton County. He got the Covid-19 and other jailers from the inmates. Besides a small cough, he doesn't have another other physical symptoms. He tested positive nine days ago.

The fact that prisoners and homeless people are not dying much, if at all, from this tells you just how dangerous it really is.

It’s that part of what I said that is getting old. I hate to say that, but it is. I am fine with this running it’s course as it will anyways. It just sucks having to be a care giver at this moment for elderly family that have been critically ill way before this even started. It definitely double downed on stress

It is so serious that they laid my mother off who has been an RN for 38 years. I guess the hospitals and clinics didn't need the help after all.
