I know, I know, another Bud Light thread, but I thought this was worth sharing. I went to a high school graduation party last night, alcohol was not provided by hosts but it was known that it was a permissive environment. Watched kids come and go to their trucks. Not one AB product, and certainly no bud light. All Miller light and Yuengling. I’ve watched these kids grow up, and never seen them turn their nose up at any brand of beer, natty light and ultra were once their beers of choice. When even high school kids won’t drink your beer, you’ve got a problem.

Going to parties with underage drunk kids is trashy, but light or no.

Thats great. The HS me wouldn't have given a single frick especially if there was a situation where Bud Light was being given away free.

Personally, I still don't give a frick. For one, I don't drink Bud Light unless thats all that is available.

A friend of mine who owns a daquiri shop told me he has had some people switch beers, but for the most part his regulars who has always drink Bud Light still does. He did tell me one of his bartenders told him she was going to tell everyone who orders Bud Light that they ran out and he told her she better not. That's beer that has been already bought to sell and give people whatever they order.

When you think about it, its kind of silly especially considering the fact there are other issues that this much energy should be put into.

Your “friend” is lying.

Then again, you probably made it up, so that would make you the liar (in more than one aspect).

When you're at a party where underage drinking is tolerated or encouraged, you've got a problem.

went to work happy hour yesterday and bar had happy hour special on domestics

when I got there three friends already there and had beers in front of them, I asked “what are we drinking” and they all said “not bud light” … I got a Coors

one of our friends arrived 30 mins later, our bartender (mid 20s chick) saw him walk in and walked over and said “what are you having? happy hour special on domestic draft” … friend says “uh, I’ll take a Bud Light” and she literally laughed out loud and said “no you don’t” … he looked at us confused and we all said we’re drinking coors/shiner/yueng etc.

this is a hodgepodge group of coworkers I haven’t seen in a months and we never talk politics. it was just shocking that this bartender talked him out of it…stigma is real right now

Choosing a different basically tasteless beer than the one that said they wanted to rebrand themselves away from you takes how much energy?

When I was in HS there was a private party every year after graduation for all of the seniors. It was one of those situations where each graduate received so many tickets to give to people so the only way to attend was to have a ticket.

Each senior had a table in which food, alcohol, etc was provided. There would be enough alcohol there to supply an alcoholic for a year. If you were an undergrade there you were just excited you were usually within a few feet of a huge ice chest filled with beer that no one was policing you would drink whatever you grabbed.
