At a minimum guy needs to be arrested and arse thrown in jail. Love to see this happen.

I saw where the Coast Guard is investigating this. Apparently what this loon did is illegal and can cost him his captain's license.

quote:

The Coast Guard received a report of a dispute between an alleged Coast Guard credentialed mariner and another boater in the U.S. Coast Guard Sector St Petersburg area of operations. The Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
The Coast Guard has authority and jurisdiction over merchant mariner credentials. Enforcement actions for violations can range from civil penalties to suspension or revocation of a merchant mariner credential. We also work with our state and local law enforcement partners regarding incidents between U.S. citizens if there is a nexus to non-federal charges.
As a reminder, social media is not an appropriate reporting method for marine incidents or distress. The Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS) Tips is a web-based and mobile means to report anonymously to CGIS about criminal incidents. In an emergency, please contact the USCG on VHF radio channel 16 or dial 911

I don’t know why castle doctrine would matter. You come at someone like that in a park and the shooter would want me on the jury. Regrettably that frickwit had probably intimidated weaker folks his entire life.

And lastly, this is why you don’t charter w just anybody with a boat

Bro, I grew up watching MacGyver; you don't have to convince me how much more dangerous a creative nerd is than a drunk badass.

The kid messed up by not staying at the helm of his boat during this. I would've punched the throttle the minute that guy's shoe touched my boat. His legs would have been stretched so far he could have tried out as a dancing girl at the Radio City Music Hall.

If I had a dollar for everyone who told me they were a 'marine' back in the late 90's and early 2000's that I knocked out I'd be retired. I guarantee you that guy can't fight a lick.

I’ll bet your wife never gets tired of your stories about how tough you are.

I had an uncle who had a camp at the Rigolets, when we were kids back in the 50's, Uncle Emile would take us fishing anytime school didn't interfere. Uncle Emile was a short Coon-arse, but he was built like a refrigerator, and he had an artificial leg from Iwo Jima, his big weakness was little kids, he and my Aunt couldn't have any so he spoiled his many nieces and nephews, he was a great guy.

One morning we were fishing the rigolets, I was about 9, we were catching a bunch of specs, really nice day to be out on a boat. This boat goes speeding by in a no wake zone, Uncle Emile says "there goes the King of the Rigolets" some guy in a boat too big for fishing the shallow water where we were, rooster tailing it close to the camps.

The boat with "The King" stopped a few hundred yards past us and we could hear him having words with a camp owner about his speeding. Uncle Emile told us he was going to drop us off on Pee-Wee's dock for a bit, he had to go help Mr Lirette with the speeder.

Mrs. Pee-Wee brought us some kool-aid, we sat down in a shady spot to see what was going to happen. The King 'fell' in the water and they tied up the Kings boat on Lake Catherine.

I heard Mr Lirette say, "you see, that man could be a good neighbor when he learns this ain't St. Charles Ave out here.

Happened 5 min from my house. I fish that spot often (41 bridge between Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda). Monster snook to be caught there and cobia when they are running.

Anyway, frick that guy and everyone around here now knows him.

Glad that "kid" got a good video of that maniac's boat. Hope to see him on the water soon.

Louisiana laws are irrelevant. It is the only state laws based upon the Napoleonic Code.

It was already established that this happened in Florida.

Think before you type.

It's surprising to me that the charter captain is 6-2 because that is textbook little man behaviour

Lot of little dick energy over being called out for running past people fishing

Those guys in the boat had nothing to do with that a-hole…

They actually told him to get back on the boat…

That took a long time.

They sat there and watched it happen for a long time and let it escalate to the point where the guy was going after the kid.

All of them should be identified and be forced to answer questions.
