Your not gonna want to hear it but men are designed to be that way when they are young. That is just facts. They can be faithful but they have to fight the biology to do it. It gets easier with age....but you already know all this.

In my limited experience with long-term relationships, birth control causes erratic behavior (more than usual, anyway), stronger and more frequent mood swings (again, more than usual), and an often non-existent sex drive. Assuming these changes aren't caused by them being around me--a big assumption, I admit--birth control has been a big pain in the arse whenever I've been with a woman for a significant amount of time. Of course, it has not been a concern from what I can tell for hookups. So birth control is great for fricking around, but I'm not so sure I'd pay $6 a month to deal with all that bullshite in a long-term relationship.
