NHS is fine if you are healthy and need routine medical care. If you need serious, high level care though you are fricked. The Brits who have means get private health insurance. If this event has taught us anything it is that we have the best health care of any country in the world bar none.

FWIW, John Krasinski is doing a weekly video journal he’s calling Some Good News where he recaps positive stories, jokes, etc people send him. The first episode he did a video chat with Steve Carell. Jim had a suit jacket and tie on with shorts.
He called a little girl that had a story about coming home from chemo and not being able to see any of her friends and family, so they did a parade with signs welcoming her home. It was funny, uplifting, and the sort of low budget good natured stuff you’d expect from Halpert.

I got Ricky Gervais to tweet back at me a few years ago. He was going on about some anti-gun nonsense and I told him it’s all the Brit’s fault we even have a 2nd Amendment here so he should kindly STFU about it. He gave me a touché lol response. He was a good sport about it.

Why? I am firmly on the side of universal Healthcare. Everyone under 18 has it. Everyone over 65 has it. Why not everyone in-between?

My healthcare, as well as my kids healthcare is just fine. Pretty sure if we had universal health care, my child that has a ton of issues would be shite out of luck.
In the US, i decide with my doctor if my child should have an extra surgery, not the government, who would say, that's not necessary b/c i'm only doing it for aesthetics. It's my money, and i'll decide if the scar that was left on my kids face is too much and needs to be redone.
when i was having issues with headaches and no one could figure out what was going on, if i wanted to do a cat scan, i could have. It would have cost a good bit, but it was my choice. If it was the gov't's choice, they probably tell me to suck it up, there's nothing wrong with you and we aren't paying for a cat scan.
Just look at the VA if need any proof the gov't would absolutely suck balls if they were in complete charge of our healthcare.
