I'm shocked. Shocked I tells you. Shocked.
Those sort of fedora/neckbeard guys either post rants like this, or rants about how they should be getting bjs on the regular from Jennifer Lawrence-look alikes because they're "nice guys".

My wife has a friend like this. She fell for a guy who was/is a pretty big POS and pretty much begged him to marry her. Now she's unhappy as frick because the reclamation project didn't quite go according to plan.
I don't feel that bad for "nice guys" when they don't learn from their mistakes, but I sure as hell don't feel bad for the girls who spurn them and end up in shite situations with no good ending.

frick THAT shite. I'm one helluva motherfricking good guy, I am a motherfricking prince among motherfricking princes--and one-night stands are ALL I WANT.
Who's the fricking dick wart who wrote that garbage?

There is a substantial difference between a 'nice' guy and a 'good' guy. A 'nice' guy is nice because he tries to cloak his intentions as a supplicant, a sycophant. Not nice because he is truly nice - but because he wants something, yet is too emasculated to make a manly effort. He tries to use traditional female wiles - which, obviously, do not work. Society did not prepare him, nor give him a guideline for being a man.

I'm starting to think people don't know what a "Nice Guy" is and just assume I'm talking about all guys that are kind and don't backhand women on a regular basis.

We used to call that "missionary dating." Girls who did it generally tried to nurse injured animals and such when they were little. Then the mangled chipmunk, or the douchebag, bites the shite out of them and they feel more depressed. It's a sad cycle.

CptBengal: same here. I'm actually pretty passionately AGAINST the disregard for men's rights that a lot of quasi-feminists advocate.
But this is just manipulation in a costume.
And slow, you're right. Women should be honest and up front. It's gets blurry when the nice guy is swearing up and down that he is your friend.. Not admitting he wants more.
And then when that guy finally fesses up, is angry that the female "led him on".
Of course that's just one example of one guy. There are absolutely girls who keep nice guys around for comfort (beyond just friendship) and toe the line. And that's fricked up.
Wonderful example of both people fricking up is (500) Days of Summer.

That's more on the man than the woman, IMO.
Amorous intentions should be forthright - more specifically, from a man. This goes back to my previous post - a 'nice' guy will be nice in the hope that his supposed positive qualities will make a woman realize that HE is the one she wants. It almost never happens that way.
I am not platonic friends with any women whom I would like to sleep with. To do so would be incredibly frustrating.

Women want to nurture a guy to make them better (in thEurope eyes). It's natural for one, and it's exciting along the way for two. If you take a complete vagina that's already what their end game is, they aren't going to want him. Simple as that

I read an interesting article on the phrase "nice guy", and how it reflects the kindif people the Internet refers to as nice guys. It's the most generic, forgettable description someone could have. An example they used was a girl would describe a guy she went on a good date with as "handsome, funny, exciting, etc". However, she would very likely describe guy she had a boring date with as "nice". Then, of course, "guy" is about as generic descriptor as you can have.
It's interesting how a "nice guy" sabotages himself even by calling himself a "nice guy".

Good point.
A "nice" guy often is a duplicitous one, being "nice" because he thinks that's what women want.
