I buy $10 whenever it gets to a billion. I know the chance if my winning are slim to none but ill spend that for the entertainment factor.

Would love to know the amount spent on sports betting online now. Of course, everyone always wins so it's a great investment, but I'd still love to know.

The lottery is called a "poor tax" for a reason.
Buying a lottery ticket does not increase your chances of winning as much as keeping your money in your pocket does.

pick up used lotto tickets and then enter them into the Play-It-Again draw.
I did this when the lottery was new in TN. Some people didn’t know how to play the different scratch games and some people would be drinking and scratching. I found two $500 winners, several others for $50 and less. The used ones I registered and got free camping gear, auto accessories, a Little Giant ladder and countless dog beds for my 6 dogs.

Guilty. I spend some change on PowerBall and Mega Millions from time to time. Some people buy beer and cigarettes, I support the local Indian beer drive thru owner.

One thing I do like is when MrBeast does lottery competitions
He will buy $1 million in scratch offs and have a huge team scratch all of them for hours in tally up how much they won
He’s never gone above 1 million in winnings. Closest he’s gotten is 900k

The next dollar I lose on lotteries or gambling will be my first.

It’s OBVIOUS to anyone with EYES that America is $17,000,000,000 smarter than last year.

Just put $20 on keno. And do just about daily. Hit for $940 the past week. Def down all time but it’s a fun way to pass the time at the bar

lottery tickets are like "neck massagers". Millions sold but no one bought them.

When I moved to Virginia from BTR in 1990 I spent $20 on the lottery as Louisiana wasn't advanced enough to have one yet.
When I didn't win, I decided to never play again and haven't.

God, "i never play the lottery" people are the biggest bunch of assholes. who gives a frick. "i've never spent a dollar on the lottery, i'm so much better than everyone" get over yourself.
Of course people shouldn't over spend but you can't tell me you've never wasted a dollar on something. Much less $50/year on something. Do i play the lottery regularly, no. Do i put a buck or two when it gets crazy or of the office wants to buy a few? Of course. Why? Because i'm not an anti-fun having curmudgeon like the rest of you fricks.

I lived close to a Time Saver that sold 2 winning LA Lottery tickets within about two months of each other. Every Saturday night for a while after that, the line of future millionaires would be out the door.
I knew a woman who won $2 million in the LA Lottery. The first thing she did was split it with her twin sister who was not involved in the ticket purchase in any way. Her husband was in the trades and she worked her butt off to support their business and raise their kids. She said the money was definitely nice but didn’t really change their day-to-day lives much. She drove a beat up POS minivan.
