Exactly. I can't believe people are still gonna vote for Republicans and democrats after all this bullshite they've done the past 20 years.

I've still got some of my July 4th 2021 savings of $0.17!

Buried it in a jar out back, dug it up last week and ther is still 11 cents in the jar.

I don't know.. as the saying goes "people vote with their pocketbooks".

People are seriously having to cut back just to make ends meet now. They are noticing that their quality of life is less than it was, which nobody likes.

frick that.

Give people more money? What the hell do they thought caused this inflationary hell?

Hint--it's not just Biden. Trump was throwing around stimuli and PPP like it was candy.

What happened in January of 2021 that could be the direct cause of this economic suffering by Americans.

I'm having a hard time feeding my family for less than $1200/month. Honestly, it hits $1500 pretty often when there events or things that lead us to eating out more.

Granted we eat better than most people, but it's still driving me crazy that I used to get upset when we hit $1200 in a month for food, and now that's easily the norm.

I just wish I had a job that allowed me to charge people more money for my services. I love getting notices that prices are going up, but I can't give my employer a notice that my employment is going up.

You're letting Trump and both parties in Congress off the hook. Not to mention, the Fed's malfeasance and late response.

Two. Ten year old boy and five year old daughter.

We even bounce between stores getting the best deals. Costco, Walmart pick up, and Target pick up. We've actually found that Whole Foods is cheaper for produce than Publix, but we're trying to stick with Costco and Walmart.

I concede that we eat better than most (high quality meat often grass fed beef or fresh salmon, lots of fresh produce, and diversity in our diets at every meal). But the point isn't that we don't know how to decrease our grocery bill; it's that our grocery bill has steadily increased over the past few years. Going out to eat is absurd as well. It's $40+ to go to Chick Fil A for shitty fast food for a family of four nowadays.

I don't believe you. President Potato just told us this was one of the cheapest Thanksgivings ever!

You are just not smart enough to see all the good data.

But we don't have inflation, right? Government numbers di not take into consideration regular costs like food, fuel and services deemed integral to modern life like the cost of insurance and non durable goods.

So much of what we are paying extra for is due to opportunism on the provider's part.....and the fact that hourly employees on the upper ends (20/hr and up) have not had an appreciable increase in pay commensurate with the rise in prices.

Current administration wasn't afraid of letting them off of the hook in July of 2021.

Trump had the right idea in stimulating the economy by keeping small businesses open. His flaw was thinking the rest of the government employees that were overseeing where this money was sent were competent. They gave scammers in India and China some of our PPP money.

Biden is printing money to help Ukraine and the Inflation Reduction Act.

The 2 are not the same.
