An American man who was on vacation in the Mexican coastal town of Playa del Carmen for a bachelor party was stabbed to death in broad daylight during a mugging.

The 27-year-old, only identified as Taylor, was murdered on Wednesday afternoon at a park just four blocks away from the beaches one of the Mexico's' top tourist attractions.

A spokesperson for the homicide division with the Playa del Carmen Public Ministry confirmed to DailyMail.com that the man was a foreigner.

According to a police report obtained by NotiCaribe, the man was out with a friend and two transvestites when he was stabbed to death.

Police said they found several bags containing a white substance that was identified as 'crack', as well as a banking receipt with the initials: 'T.M'.

Nobody intervened to aid the defenseless man, NotiCaribe reported.

"Mexican outlet NotiCaribe is reporting a Canadian resident was killed by a companion at a park just blocks away from the beaches Playa del Carmen"

No arrests have been reported.

nevermind, i'm not into transvestites or cocaine, so it's still safe for tourists who aren't dumbasses.

Dude out with a couple of trannies, looking for drugs, gets killed. Sounds like a normal night in New Orleans.

I don’t get why anyone would do or obtain hard drugs in a foreign country, especially one like Mexico. Still sucks, though. But lots of people in the US get killed via the “crack” trade...

Of course it is. That is why they have the police with automatic weapons patrolling the beaches.

Oh, wait, I wasn't hanging out with Transvestites and looking for crack while I was there.

Just to be clear the American murdered was not with any Transvestites nor did he have crack on him. The Mexican police wrote that into a report to get potential tourists to think exactly like you just did. It was made up--there were not trannies or crack!

The guy was walking alone in the park and was mugged & stabbed by a complete stranger for his shoes and wallet and they are covering up the death by making up a fake story.

4 blocks? You get what you get.

There is the beach. The main drag. And the rest is Indian country.

I was down there a couple years ago and this Mexican worker at the resort wanted to buy the shoes off my feet for more than I paid new. I would've sold them to him but I didn't want to look around for a different pair.
