Sounds to me like they only refused the initial offer from the manager immediately after the incident because they knew they could squeeze a whole lot more out of AMC if the story got to the media and they had an attorney send a letter. And they sure did get AMC to bend over

This seems like a race agnostic problem that most hourly employees are probably not trained or paid to handle well one on one much less it being turned into something racial and heated by a large group.

Too many times poor employees, poor training, & even just poor timing effecting all the same are allowed to be used by people involved or promoted by others as an example endemic of society against one race. Just because it happened to blacks doesn’t mean it happened just because they are black and that similar hasn’t happen to other races.

The constant thinking when a black person is treated in a way they didn’t like is first & foremost because other party involved is guilty of racism until proven otherwise beyond a doubt is backwards. It also seems likes like it’s being used in a more predictive sense by some individual blacks to bring this attitude into interactions with white people from the start and almost becoming a self fulfilling prophecy - giving attitude, treating white person from beginning like they are bad who always want to harm in current situation/interaction, and when the white person responds accordingly with some attitude back or even just less enthusiastic than liked due to hostile attitude shown to them first the black person just blames the White’s racism proving their prediction to be “correct” while ignoring what their own individual actions and bias brought into interaction from beginning. Blacks complain whites judge them first on their race and not individual merits, but it seems like many blacks are more and more doing exactly what they excuse whites of doing (or at least allowing others to do so).

This group present refused initial offer to come back with a lawyer and demands including aiding their non-profit group has to sound fishy to anyone and that they are possibly taking advantage of circumstances because of their race even if cause of circumstances not related to their race or to racism in first place. That shouldn’t happen.
