WDSU article in OP refers to them as a non-profit at the the very beginning of their article, then several more times referred to them as a charity throughout the article

Who doesn’t keep tickets even if it’s one person in a group holding them?
I tell my kid that all the time especially when going to a movie that might sell out. I get asked to show receipts leaving places and even inside places couple of times like where all you eat buffet mixed with people ordering separately including just getting water at a table. I have been in a theater where lights turned on and white kids removed multiple times.
If they did this then not sure why AMC kept going, but if they didn’t or challenged being asked in first place then Why couldn’t they do this? It’s not beyond their capability. I wouldn’t always remind my kid about keeping tickets if it wasn’t ingrained in me that it very well may be needed regardless of race.
Again if they first choose confrontation instead of easily showing receipts are they trying to get publicity and showing behavior that they knew would be questioned further to then accused questioning as being only race based. Too many across country are seeking to have blacks treated differently and incapable of same standards as others. Also, What kind of charity to help kids would push confrontation instead of showing receipts and being done with it like everyone else has to do at some point outside of one needing a fundraiser & publicity.
AMC’s response seems pandering. Once any confrontation starts with a group I am sure behavior can be found to dismiss an employee, and if this group choose to be defiant and confront over just showing receipts what kind of training do you think AMC overs to smoothly handle a group of any race acting this way. I would bet same employees dismissed have gone overboard, not followed rules, and/or had learned from other employees doing same in similar situations that were not considered as news worthy as this group.

Every single piece of evidence has shown that Im right. There are witnesses in the theatre that have spoken about the situation, there is video tape showing the party entering the movie theatre and there tickets being verified, Ive never once said everyone was in the correct seat. Every single time Ive gone in that movie theatre someone is in the wrong seat. No one even knows this movie is out, there was plenty of other seats in the theatre. There has been no statements from the fired employee so yall dont even know what their side of the story is. The company has apologized, said the employees were in the wrong and donated to various charities to try to defuse the situation.
Please show me where I am wrong. You have nothing to show. Instead of going after the people who are calling them black bitches, animals and other words, you go try to attack me. I know exactly why you did that.

Shame on WDSU for printing the names on the employees who were fired. Yes, they made procedural mistakes, and they paid for it with their jobs. But these kids don't deserve to be publicly outed because of a mistake. Now, they're being labeled as "racist" because of the opinion of a person who felt they were wronged.
If this had happened to a group of teenagers watching Maleficent 2, they would have gotten their refunds and that would be the end of it. But it happened to the wrong people during the wrong movie.
