Question. I saw the amber alert on my phone before I opened it. Once I unlocked my iphone it was gone. Where do I go on my phone to be able to see it? Is it even possible? Thanks.
It’ll still be on your notifications. Depends on the iPhone but mine I swipe down from the top left.

One time a few years back, they had an amber alert on a Saturday night while the tigers were playing football. It was a wild scene to have 105,000 iPhones go off all at the same time in Tiger Stadium!

I once drive through Tangi.
Could’ve been me.

I turned Amber Alerts off after that last one in New Iberia at about 3 a.m. C'mon man, I'm in Zachary! Gotta target better than that for your initial push.

This bullshitee again. How much time have you spent in Tangi? If any what part? Asking seriously. Lived here most all my life, since 1980. Has been great.
To each their own, but I resided there for about 15 years. My mom, brother, sister, and two oldest children still live there and I visit regularly. It’s not NOLA bad, but it’s bad. Hammond specifically. And I say this while sitting in Livingston Parish.
If it works for you, that’s great. To me, it’s a shithole. Lots of folks dislike the LP, but for me, and mine, it’s been fantastic.

Fair enough. I’ve lived in both Ponchatoula and Hammond and have had mostly good experiences. I find downtown Hammond to be a good place to find a good meal and never feel unsafe. But I also stay on the beaten path, so I’m not an authority. I do know the farther north you go in Tangi the less desirable a place to be it becomes.

Get on it Amite Barber, you have all the connection in Tangi it seems. Should be cut and dry.

After reading the disturbing images thread they can send me an amber alert whenever they want. God speed on catching that sick frick.

been in hammond 16 years.
i can got weeks without seeing anything or anyone i'd deem undesirable in hammond. stay out of all discount retailers, gas stations more than 0.5 miles from an I12 exit, and any government buildings and it looks like mayberry

They have data to backup where they send Amber Alerts. People flee after kidnapping, you're in that radius.
And imagine if it was your child? Wouldn't you want the entire planet to get an Amber Alert? Quit complaining about a 3 second inconvenience that could save an innocent child's life.
Piece of shite.

Annoying, but if it were my baby I would want it statewide. Think of the good these things do... The intention is in the right place.
I hope they find the wee one unharmed and the kidnapper gets shot in the nads, twice.

I'm 99% sure this is a custody dispute and not a real perv kidnapping of innocent little children.
The fact that they immediately had the make/model/lic.# pretty much proves it's a known person/relative, most likely an ex, who may possibly have a justifiable (although not legal) reason to remove a child from a bad situation/parent.
These seem to account for most amber alerts I've gotten.
