Amazon announced it is bringing palm scanners to one of its Whole Foods stores in Seattle, with plans to roll out the new payment system to eight stores in the Seattle area in the coming months. Customers will hold their hands above the scanner for a contact-free payment method. To use the service, customers will give Whole Foods their credit or debit card information to link their palm print. They can chose to use a different payment method, such as cash, check or other credit card, in subsequent visits.

You were born with a palm, Jesus had a palm. Palm Sunday even commemorates Jesus's arrival in Jerusalem. You probably scan your thumb on your cellphone.

I don't let any corporation have access to my palm for trading. That's unholy. At least, that's what my palm reader told me.

They tried this at a doctor's office a family member of mine goes to. It didn't go over well with the patients, and didn't last more than a few months. I watched while sitting in the waiting room (pre-Covid) as person after person balked as the receptionist asked them to place their palm on the device. I'd say at least 75% of them refused.

There’s a reason these tech giants are able to exist largely unchallenged, and that’s because they collect data on citizens for the government. Nearly every single thing you do in your life now is tied to technology... and the government knows every bit of it.
