I mean mere weeks ago the government was in the Supreme Court trying to force an experimental gene therapy on everyone
To be fair, that has a lot to do with timing in that those suits were filed when the vaccines were arguably more relevant. They just ruled on the Dunn V. Austin injunction on Monday.
I have been in state and federal appellate and supreme courts on multiple occasions arguing something that on its face was more or less a moot point.

Take one look at the news & they’re desperately trying to make it a thing again.
Fact is, everyone except mostly old black folks & super liberal whites are over this shite and have moved on.

There are these odd lingering pockets of maskers and shot proponents still trying to sell the lies though.

Nah...COVID doesnt poll well and they know it.
We’ll find out the effects of Katherine Kimball Mizell striking down the mask mandate in airlines and public transit one way or another.

I am a bit more left than this board and it was 100% midterms are coming
Nah Covid restrictions had been slowly easing for some time now and same with the media coverage. Now extending the halting of payment of student debts and talks of cancellation? That is definitely related to the midterms

a more accurate description is that they shouldn't be given hospital beds in the first place, in that scenario.
Go frick yourself with this attitude.

70% of the eligible population is vaccinated. That's on the low end of what experts said would be needed to achieve herd immunity.

So airplanes are where we'll see the effects? Not grocery stores, malls, stadiums, workplaces that have all gone maskless for the last few months. It's the airplanes we're waiting on?
You people are so fricking dumb.

Similar to what's going on with the Russia/Ukraine war. If there's literally anything new to talk about, whatever current crisis just dissipates. So consider what's "news" before you start believing all the hype.

You check the kinds of legislation being pushed on state levels like Louisiana - You have a covid shot requirement for school age kids. You have a push to allow direct communication about medical issues to kids without parental consent.
They have simply changed the strategy. Covid still lives for those who need to be ruled over.
For the rest it is time for hard ball legislation to slip through while everyone is trying to celebrate the return of freedoms.
It is sad how much our politicians and the Karen sub culture hate everyone.

Oh yeah…it’s those totally effective vaccinations that don’t stop you from getting or transmitting the WuFlu That are doing it.

You must not watch ABC news. Unfortunately, I am subjected to it because my elderly mother loves it. The main stories have all been on Ukraine but covid is still definitely in the journalistic mix.

ABC? I don't know anyone that watches ABC news. NBC ride or Die, me and Lester used to shoot the shite back in the day. Yo that dude had flo and prolly still does.

The largest city in the World is in the middle of a draconian Covid lockdown (Shanghai), it didn't disappear. When I travel Internationally I'll still probably be stuck in a mask, and for sure will have to take a Covid test to come back home.
The planet is more than the United States of America, and the USA is more than just the place you live. Philly just re-instated mask mandates and NYC is still holding onto them for public transport.
With respect to the US fear porn version of the story, support for restrictions has dropped very steadily from the middle of 2020 until now. It's now to the point where only a small (but very vocal) part of the prog-left is in support.
