You see this as a defense. But that says to me that Alton was still trying to get up after the initial shots and that is where the two in the back come from.

So, you're insinuating the cops have lied by saying he was going for his gun. Do you need me to link more of your own posts
I insinuated nothing of the sort. If there was any insinuation, it was that the cops COULD have rushed to judgment and thought that he was going for his gun. Not that they lied. But decent try.

All this. Even with all this new information the shite show is still on.
That's the problem, the cat is already out of the bag.
On a somewhat related note, why do these videos always suck? Everyone has a smartphone nowadays. Maybe it is because they message them to the reporter, and it loses quality?
Need to fix that shite.

The victims arm was still moving body rolling. Of course the cop is going to yell get on the ground. Man there is some retarded shite in here

even in the 1st video it seemed clear that the officers THOUGHT he was going for his gun, which is all that really matters.
Agree. Unfortunately it doesn't matter.
He could have pulled the gun and emptied the clip and these people would be screaming that he should have been tazered instead.
If they had tazered him the headline would be man brutally tazered while on the ground.
These people are looking for any reason to play the victim card and have another protest.

How can you tell all this? You hear the first shots fired and the camera pulls away... that's when you hear "get on the ground" and additional shots before the camera goes back.
There's no visual evidence during the part where he yells "get on the ground". It is entirely possible that the victim was trying to get up while the camera was pointed at the ground.

Its obvious in the second video this was the absolute last thing the cop wanted to do. Just as I suspected.
Shooting will be pretty cut and dry justified. Hopefully people don't go full Mike Brown retard.

And now the BLM is the focal point. It became bigger than him the moment the first video went viral.

I watched the second video and it legitimately felt like two cops who felt like their life could be ended if they didn't act. They entered pure survival mode. These cops will walk.
Not even worth hoping over

Yes let's not mention the guy shot in the chest sitting there dying.

100% possible
why somebody with a gun would fight with cops, i'll never know

It would be sad if them saying "he has a gun" is what caused them to shoot, when it was intended as an observation and nothing else.
People are going to down vote but you're right. That goes back to my concerns about tackling him to the ground in the first place when you know or reasonably assume he is armed. When you're in close combat like that shite is magnified exponentially and there is absolutely no room for error. I think the officers are 100% justified in the shooting at that point, but I'm not 100% sure the situation should have come to that.

He was a CONVICTED felon with a gun----- FACT
Under Louisiana law you cannot have a gun if you are a convicted felon.
This dude ignored police orders to "get on the ground".
The cops already knew he had a gun. The dude had nothing to lose. He knew he was going to jail for either having a gun or for shooting a cop. Let the justice department handle this. There is always more to the story.

It's also the fact that certain factions of people value a convicted felons life over two police officers. This community that is making signs and prepping for a protest would celebrate two cops being shot. Thats just how it works.

I saw an attorney post something to the effect of "Even if you are being wrongfully arrested or detained, please don't resist. Just comply." He was absolutely eviscerated for it. It's like when cops tell women to travel in groups or not wear certain clothing when a rapist is on the loose and they respond, "ARE YOU SAYING WOMEN ARE ASKING TO BE RAPED?!"

Yes, you're right about the protesters not giving a shite, but some of us have different concerns.
