Do you think the cop just did a roll to get himself into that awkward position or something?
yes
firing directly down into concrete is not ideal

It would be sad if them saying "he has a gun" is what caused them to shoot, when it was intended as an observation and nothing else.

He does pull that gun out rather quickly.
And if you've ever had a gun down completely in your pocket you know how it doesn't just slide right out. There's usually a hammer or something that will catch unless you pull it out at the right angle.
That cop reaches down and grabs it with no effort at all.

they do not fire until he moves towards the gun

They have a second video now? Why is it not in the OP? What page is it on?

All this. Even with all this new information the shite show is still on.

There was 5-6 seconds of struggling before the first shot was fired after the yell.

I see two men who took on a pretty thankless job these days to protect a community and that community is now calling for their deaths for doing their job.

Thank you for the clarification.

After seeing the second video, I'm not sure how the cops could be convicted of anything.
That being said, what I just quoted is completely circumstantial and no decision should consider it.

So, you're insinuating the cops have lied by saying he was going for his gun
Just to play devil's advocate, we still cannot see him going for his gun (or not going for his gun for that matter), but even in the 1st video it seemed clear that the officers THOUGHT he was going for his gun, which is all that really matters.

In the new video. Then after blowing a hole in the guys chest, the cop yells "Get on the ground"- as the victim is lying on the ground smoked in blood. Good god. And some people are hell bent on believing he was going for the gun just because the cop yelled he was? Obviously the cop yelled at least one thing that was inconsistent with what was really happening. With that being said, the second video is still not clear on whether he was reaching in his locker for the gun.

From this second video I think it's relatively easy to acknowledge that:
The cops (or at least one of them) knew that he had a gun and that he had easy access to it. It had to be visible during the scuffle and must have been at least partially out of his pocket for the cop to grab it the way he did after the shooting.

Anybody need lessons on making signs for the protests? Looks like LSU is offering one tomorrow night. Hopefully it's more credits than a lab.

I heard they went to the report of Alton knowing he carried.

Makes no difference. The cops say something happened, he tries to paint it like said thing never happened.
That's insinuation that the cops are lying, which he's now backtracking on.
ETA: His most recent post is still insinuating that the cops are lying.

during the scuffle, the cops don't even pull their guns until they realize he has one
