The first two went into his body front side. The reason there may be a pause between shots is because he may have rolled over in the struggle after getting shot with a last surge of adrenaline and then got 2 more in the back. 9 mm going thru that much fat doesn't have guaranteed instant stopping power

Could be he was shot while on his back, rolled over and was shot in the back if they thought he was still reaching for something.
Just a possibility.

I thought it was gun at first, but now I think it was taser. Sorry. Haven't been following this thread.
After watching it again, it does sound like "he's going for the taser". But that doesn't change a single thing. The cop pulled the gun and put it basically in the guys chest and told him to stop moving, then the other cop says either "he's going for the gun" or "he's going for the taser" and Alton continues to struggle with the gun in his face.
Alton escalated the situation into a shoot, maybe the cops weren't perfect if there is more evidence but there is plenty of evidence in that video to show me that Alton was looking to not comply no matter what.

I look at it this way:
IF he said he's going for the gun/taser, that tends to prove he was, in fact, going for the weapon, or at least that the cops honestly believed he was.
IF he was going for the weapon, or if the cops honestly believed he was, then my question is what more has to happen before the cop can shoot ... to kill?
If I'm a cop, I say nothing. But I don't know if that's the law. I'm sure it came up in one of these other cases, but I don't remember.

Yeah, I just read on CNN that a preliminary autopsy shows gunshot wounds to the chest and back, so maybe that is what happened.
