I get a lot as I work from home, but 99% of my alone time consists of me working, so it doesn’t really count to me

Am getting married soon. We both value our alone time so I expect we'll not get into arguments over spending time in different rooms in the house for a couple hours here and there. It's good to have your own space.

Usually after the kids go to bed. My wife likes to go to sleep as soon as they do, but I like to stay up and read.

I always wake up earlier on the weekends than weekdays for what I call "the calm before the storm". I like to sit and drink a cup of coffee in silence

Wife works three nights a week.

That's when I crank up the barrel fire next to the shop, the old honky tonk sound comes on, projects are resumed while bourbon is sipped.

Used to love lunch at a bar.

Sit like barfly. Might have 2 beers. Might have tea. Speak only when spoken to. It’s great.

Never married and no kids, so I have always had a good bit of alone time. I am not at all anti-social. I am retired now, but traveled extensively when I worked and had no problem at all eating alone, etc.

I have taken some stellar vacations alone and even gone to LSU football games alone!

ETA: I am currently making plans to attend the Ms St. baseball game tonight…alone!

I date someone who is long distance on purpose. I have my kids some of the time, but alone time rocks.

Ask an only child (like me) this question, and you might hear that they prefer being alone to being around other people. I know I do. No disrepect to wife (no pics) intended.

I occasionally take vacations by myself, almost always involving hiking in nature. I could not live without that occasional escape.

I WFH, I'm alone 11 hours per day. Some days it great, others it sucks. I don't have any hobbies really, so it can get pretty boring.

I have gone camping by myself in North Arkansas for a few days. That was pretty awesome.

I am 38. The thought of alone time to me seemed silly until my 30s. I am very social and always around people being in my profession teaching and coaching. Now, when I do have those days where I have nothing scheduled, I can have an amazing day just sleeping in, drinking a coffee of the sofa, taking the dog to the park, sitting at bar and eating oysters by myself and just relax. I used to be very self conscience doing anything solo feeling it was weird, now I enjoy it.
