You now know what a lot of people have been saying. The BRPD administration is completely incompetent at best, corrupt at worse. BRPD has many excellent officers who come to work and are ordered to do absolutely nothing in the name of social justice. Crime in Baton Rouge is going to get exponentially worse, before it gets better. It will only get better when the Sheriff’s Office takes over the city.

That’s their plan.

Shhhh.
We need you peasants to beg to be saved so the new world can be ushered in.
Taking your money, religion, children, and safety should do the trick.

Noticed a few comments in a WAFB comment section...a lady that lives 2 streets over from the train tracks said the police have been knocking on doors looking for any videos

Maybe mentoring or volunteer coaching some of the young kids without fathers would be a chance to be a role model to someone.

If BRPD is not going to do the legwork, I hope the family hires a private investigator to start tracking down this stuff. You don’t want to find out a month from now that there could have been video of the setup, the crime, or the escape that was lost. Memories grow cold, and the time to chase this stuff down is right now.

i literally just posted above you that comments from a WAFB post say they police have been knocking on doors in the area.

Gang initiation killing.
I hope you're right
Really narrows down the suspects. Can't be many gangs in that area
And regardless of whether they get the specific individuals, it would be nice to have such a nefarious target that could be isolated by legal and/or illegal means

Isn’t it great that we need Facebook comments to find out what BRPD is doing to investigate this?

Any official statement by police other than they are working hard on the case?
If so please show me. Seems like they’re avoiding the public/media on this one.

That’s good to know.

Also. Everyone should have a dash camera. ESPECIALLY for your kids. They help in wrecks they could help now.
Dash cams are cheap and easy to set up.
Just curious, since I'm not familiar with self installed dash cams:
If the attackers approached from the driver side window and her vehicle was pointed towards the train, would a dash cam have caught any footage?
...and do dash cams typically record audio? If she had one could we possibly have heard demands from the shooter like "get out of the car"?

They do usually record audio but not all of them. And as to whether or not it would record them approaching from the side, just depends on how wide an angle they record.

Taken from friends of Allie:
If you want to help, help. Call.

Everyone wants to help in some way. How can you help today?
Over half of the murders in this city go unsolved. This is not acceptable. Please call the following:
Mayor Broome: 225-389-3100
Chief Murphy Paul: 225-389-3802
LSU office of president: 225-578-2111
Inform the mayor and chief of police that anything short of catching these criminals is not acceptable.
Not from Baton Rouge? Let LSU office of the president know that you will not send your children or money to a college in a city that can’t control violent crime and protect its children.
Thank you to everyone who has already done this.
If you want to help, help. Call.

The Mayor’s office also told me this morning they’re bringing in the FBI, DEA, and US Marshalls to help solve the case.

That’s actually not a bad idea. I live in Prairieville and feel helpless since I can’t necessarily show up to council meetings and raise hell since I’m not an EBR resident but I can definitely tell LSU my kids aren’t going there due to safety concerns. That is 100% true. I was just telling my wife yesterday that I don’t want our kids going to LSU even though we bleed purple and gold. It’s just not worth it. I’d gladly send them to ULL instead.

I'm not a police so I don't know the ins and outs of how investigations like this work. But I don't expect them to say anything more than they are working on the case. It's not want people want to hear but it's probably all they can say to not compromise the investigation. Murphy Paul was on WBRZ last night saying this.

Correct. If you give too many details, you tip your hand to the criminals. If you tip your hand to the criminals, you either miss completely or run into an ambush.
