they wouldn't have said to avoid the new gentrification area near red stick social so it would not have helped in this case.
Bingo. That's what a lot of people seem to be missing if they're not from around here. That particular area is not full on ghetto where your 6th sense takes over and immediately says GTFO. It is commercial with Red Stick to your right and Bengal to your left, and you can practically see the lit 110 freeway all but 5 blocks in front of you.

Nothing good happens after midnight, especially in BR.

You ever try to leave from the visitors' side of Scottlandville's football stadium?

LSU has become test optional, so if it does not benefit you, you do not report it. They are skewing the numbers in their favor, but it is not an honest assessment.
this is true. While I'm pretty sure each entering student has to turn in their GPA, they do not have to turn in an ACT score. So LSU is not being totally honest when they are touting such a high average ACT score for all entering freshmen. They should be asked what percentage of entering students are included in that ACT count.

This is like the 5th consistent post on this subject matter and appears to be the real and honest explanation with this LSU and historical ACT class stuff. So can I now assume that the poster Stevo who came blazing into this thread on or around page 114 is full of shite? He struck me as an LSU admin plant just with the rapid-fire cadence to his posts like his was a PR spin doctor, and now it seems that he was indeed full of shite. Thanks to you and the other posters for telling it like it is.

They need to flood the hood with flyers and black radio with info on the 50k reward. Someone knows and will talk for that kinda cash.

“Not to mention that LSU has more stroke in this city than literally any other entity other than state government. They could and should throw their weight around a little bit. “
LSU and the city government of Baton Rouge have no interest in highlighting this case. They’d like it to just go away. Black on white or even black on black violence is not the message they want to shout from the mountain about. The minute sample of police killing noncompliant and aggressive black people that are repeat violent offenders is a national emergency. Clown world.

I hope they are able to make some headway in the investigation.

Not to derail this into an LSU admissions thread, but LSU has been test optional for around 8 years now, so this isn't exactly anything new. All of the other LA schools are test optional as well, except maybe Tech
Actually, digging a little further, UF and UGA are the only 2 SEC schools that aren't "test-optional" or "test-flexible". Even Vanderbilt doesn't require ACT/SAT anymore

Hell, I was at the intersection of Florida and Woodale Boulevard around noon today, and a "beggar" in the median was throwing several large, quart sized beer bottles at an SUV, and violently rocking the vehicle containing a very frightened caucasian lady who was stopped at the red light. She was frantically calling someone on her phone while this was going on. That guy was totally unhinged.
It looked like he was very upset that she didn't want to let him "wash her windows".

False. I worked in admissions at LSU until 2016. ACT/SAT was definitely not optional then. I can’t speak for now though.

I know for a fact that ACT testing was not required for seniors applying during COVID. A family member of mine got in while getting a 17 on the ACT but never sent it to LSU. Only extra curricular activities were two sports at a small private school.
LSU just wants kids to apply and pay their tuition. Doesn't matter if they graduate.

That wasn’t 8 years ago though. I have no idea what happened after I left.
Anyway, let’s get back on topic. I’m sure Allie would want us to focus on the investigation rather than a pissing contest over LSU admissions standards or freshman class numbers.

A 17 on the ACT? Did this person learn nothing in high school? I knew one person that scored that low out of high school and he didn't make it through one year of college.

She couldn’t drive off?
It was noon (lunch time traffic) on Florida Blvd. and Woodale Blvd. Traffic was very thick, and she was in a turning lane blocked in by a concrete berm, with full Florida street traffic going in a westerly direction blocking her escape, probably in shock over what was happening to her.
Anyway, why are you asking me if she could drive off or not? And why are you blaming the victim?

There has been absolutely nothing new in this investigation for a few weeks. That's pathetic.

Forensics, cell phone evidence, and Ring data will all take time to narrow down a suspect list.
Unfortunately, the reward money has to be increased. $55K is a sizable amount, however we’re talking about greedy people who are waiting for the number to be in the six digits before they’ll snitch. They can be bought and it sucks they won’t do the right thing, it all comes down to money for these people.

Just wait until after The Shed has their benefit dinner next week. It’ll be six digits then.
