Man, people don't understand how hard that is to do. To run in the summer heat of Texas, full of red lined adrenaline across a whole parking lot and still remain calm and winded enough to make a good shot. Definitely not an easy thing to do.

I'm always surprised how quick that job can move. Talking to kiddos and a mom in a parking lot one second and having to make a decision to drop someone the next.
Great actions by the officer. Time to take some paid time off.

Man I read that as "Alien Shooter" and got real hyped for a split second. 
Just watched. That was intense as frick. And seems like he hit that dude from 100+ yards out. Great shots.

what impressed me was how calm and purposeful he was when he slowed down a little. he was still rushing, but taking the time to assess the area the entire time.
I don't think anyone could've done better than how he handled it.

Extremely difficult what he just did. I did two tours in Iraq as an Infantryman and running with gear is brutal. Then having the presence of mind to make the shot…. Great job by that officer.

As someone who’s shopped that mall many times, I can tell you that wasn’t a short distance he ran to track that guy down.
While he’s still running to the gunfire and exchanging fire with the bad guy, you can hear the cop say he’s possibly injured. So much adrenaline running through him in that moment he couldn’t even be sure if he was hit.

The size of that outlet mall and the echoing sound of shots probably left many unsure of where the threat was and where to drive away to.
The parking lot is also broken up forcing people to funnel into limited entry and exit points for each section. You can’t just drive straight across the parking lot or from one parking section the another. Each parking area is an independent pod with perhaps 2 entry and exit points.
