Do better

If they really wanted to do better, they'd be showing an AA plane being de-iced in NYC rather than a plane flying on a beautiful sunny day. Pretty sure it's snowing there right now

Yeah Mr Cold Front I guess showing up slightly earlier than expected. It should be out of DFW by no later than 3.

Lets hope it's that quick. It's still going to create havoc nearby for half the day. At least you'll get some entertainment from the lack of planes taking off soon

If anyone needs more entertainment, feel free to look at the flightaware link for DFW DFW Flightaware. If you click on the map, it'll pull up all the departures and arrivals for DFW (you can sort the map to make it easier to view). There are so many planes that just took off for DFW, I really don't see them all making it in before the thunderstorms overtake the airport.

As expected, planes attempting to land are already beginning to circle

Every time I fly with them the plane leaves at least 30 minutes late

But I bet you *almost* always landed on time or earlier than scheduled. It’s not that hard for airlines to make up lost time enroute. It’s built in.

We fly out Christmas afternoon every year and absolutely love it. Kids get to experience Santa at home and we are in Texas for Christmas dinner with the in-laws. No traffic on the drive, security is a breeze, tickets are cheaper, always get upgraded to Comfort+ and everyone at the airport is very nice.

I kinda feel bad for the passengers but feel worse for the AA employees who have to deal with irate passengers

I’m not sure that you know what that slang term means.

Flying on Christmas Eve is the opposite of trashy.

It means you have the funds available to fly on one of the busiest days of the year.

Thought I was going to get lucky today by flying Southwest. Flight has already been delayed 3 hours and now all flights are grounded at Dallas Love Field. FML

No I did. But I wasn’t going to miss my flight because I assumed it was going to be delayed. Didn’t even start raining until after I was at the airport. Oh well, at least I’m not at DFW, I bet that place is a shitshow right now.

DEI hires. It's taking them all that time to get the pilots' piercings through security.

It was a business trip on American from Bham to Peoria and back in 2022 that made me come to the realization our air transport system in this country was no longer functioning and had become an exercise in physical and mental torture. They literally broke me from flying unless I absolutely have no other choice.
