no, admit it, you want some sort of vengeance. it's not about the money, which is insignificant anyway. it's not like we're releasing these people due to overcrowding

life without possibility of parole accomplishes the same thing.

There is no such thing. And bullshite. There is always the possibility of:
1) escape
2) continuing to kill undeserving victims while in prison
and
3) a liberal governor being elected and issuing a pardon (for state offenses) or a liberal president being elected and issuing a pardon (for federal offenses)

If you believe that, perhaps you should take it up with your Representative. They write these laws. The courts apply the laws.

So why waste your time taking up this issue with Chalmetteowl?

I find it hard to comprehend how anyone could oppose this mans execution. He killed his daughter over toilet training. I have days where I just hate our society. This man is feral and his time living on the taxpayers expense is up.

Intellectual disabilities should not be grounds for not punishing someone for murder.

Should not be, but are under case law. The Supreme Court did rule that IQ score alone was not sufficient due to the margin of error of IQ tests and the fact that IQ tests are not scientific tools.

Being intellectually disabled is a valid reason for reducing someone’s sentence in this type of case, but in this case, his lawyers had an uphill battle. This is a guy who demonstrated the intellectual capacity to earn a license to be a long distance truck driver.

Like so many of these people, he also knew that treating a child that way is wrong, as evidenced by choosing the moment when no one else was looking.

This was a good execution under the law. Justice was served.

I want vengeance on a person I’ve never met and only learned that he existed today? Vengeance in the form of believing that a cold blooded killer should also die, yes.

I’m perfectly fine accepting the 0.000001% chance fricked up.

No one, even death penalty proponents like myself, should EVER be ok with ANYONE innocent getting put to death by the government.

Death penalty cases need to have several layers of undeniable evidence including, but not limited to, video of the crime, overwhelming forensic evidence, etc.

Why can't it be both? No more money wasted on a piece of shite killer and the victim's family and society gets vengeance. That's a win win right there man

Death is TOO good for him. He should be abused to within an inch of his life, treated rehabilitated and then have it done to him again.....with pictures of his dead daughter all around.

If you catch the death penalty today, there are no “welllll maybe it wasn’t him”.

This country elected a walking corpse to be our next President. We are a nation of easily manipulated fools. And the average American juror is someone who can't get out of jury duty. Innocent people in this country are convicted every day. I don't oppose the death penalty because I approve of this man's crimes. I oppose the death penalty because the only way to make sure we don't execute the innocent to is to not execute anyone at all.

to add, we believe that somewhere around 7 or 8% of people put to death in this country were actually innocent of their crimes. And not all of these happened in backwoods Mississippi in 1920. The state of Texas executed a man in the 21st century and a lot of stuff has come out to suggest that he was likely innocent
