Once these monsters start getting publicly executed in a brutal manner, maybe the crimes will go down.

Pedophiles have absolutely no hope of recovery and cannot be cured of the sickness that ails them. In fact, it's scientifically impossible as attraction to prepubescent children is as normal to them as we are attracted to adult men and women.

Therefore, the merciful, morally correct and righteously just thing to do for both the pedophile and society is end their lives.

Nitrogen hypoxia executions for every one of them.

Seriously, when there are charges like this and the accompanying evidence is 100% damning (i.e. video of incident or something), why do we keep these people alive?

People who do shite like this can't be rehabilitated. They are evil. They should be removed from existence and their names washed from history.

The theory I’ve heard most from prosecutors is that if we had death penalty for child-rape, that more pedos would murder and disappear children for good, so as not to leave evidence.

I disagree with that

Can't the Rapides Sheriff's office sell raffle tickets for Who Gets to Shoot This Guy as a fund raiser for the poor kids in the Parish? Sell the tickets for like $1 a piece/shot ?

Correct. Their minds are sick and have something that cannot be cured.

A sexual attraction to prepubescent children that is as natural to them as we are to adult men and women.

Ending their lives is an act of mercy to them and society.

I disagree.

We've seen a lot of people outed as pedophiles that truly surprised us like a doctor, a cop, a lawyer, a banker and so on. They operate like anyone else in society. There are lots of people in trusted, noble professions that have this incurable sickness. If such a cure for pedophilia was possible, they would be signing up for it en masse.

We can't help what we're born with more often than not. It's just bad luck and regrettable misfortune they're born with an incurable sickness.

However, that does not override our duty to quarantine them away from society where they can't harm children and we should take it a step further and end their lives out of mercy to them and society.

If people are still committing an offense when the punishment is life in prison and, generally, full disowning/ostracizing by anyone and everyone they ever loved, do you really thinking increasing the penalty is going to have an impact?

People commit offenses like this because they believe they won't get caught, not because they believe the potential punishment is worth the risk. We aren't talking about stealing candy bars from a gas station.

going to have an impact?"

Yes,I do. This "full disowning/ostracizing by anyone and everyone they ever loved" is not impactful before the crime due to virtually no experience with it-so I believe it plays little if any part of forethought of the crime. Forethought of a certain swift death by hanging or shooting could indeed be a deterrent. Survival is a strong instinct.

Meh. Their compulsion is so strong I don’t think they bother to ponder the potential punishment until after the crime is already committed. I believe in the death penalty, but I don’t think it’s much of a deterrent at all.

Every ounce of evidence we have available speaks to it being zero deterrent whatsoever. There's an old anecdote that when pickpocketting was a capital offense in England a couple hundred years ago, pickpockets routinely worked the crowds attending the public hangings of pickpockets. If that wasn't a deterrent, you're doomed to fail.

What bullshite, the guy in the OP is evil. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. He may have an incurable sickness too but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s evil. Frick him and I hope he rots in hell.
