You're confusing an evil act with an evil mind and that's something that I don't believe pedophiles have when their attraction to children is natural to them like breathing. That's the whole point of why they have an incurable sickness.

However, the evil act that's natural to their sickness like breathing is something that has been correctly deemed by society to be illegal because it is an act that destroys and completely ruins children who are not born with the same sickness and thus they have to be quarantined in a prison cell for the rest of their natural lives for the protection of society and a good reason why their lives should be ended out of mercy and for the benefit of the public.

In fact, this is one reason why child rape and stat rape to an extent are strict liability crimes because the fact of whether or not the pedophile has an evil mind doesn't matter. That and the child is not legally capable of consent.
