Depends on the consumption amount, not so much about if there is/isn’t alcohol there.

And you know the food there will be AMAZING
One of my good friends is Mexican. Went to her daughter's 1 year bday party. Her family had this massive setup for making fresh street tacos (your choice of different types of meats). It was awesome.

This is where I stand
We stopped doing parties at our house after 2 years old

The very definition of trashy.

So you are saying kids can never be present when adults are having a beer or two?
So if you have a Superbowl party at your house and kids are there...no one is allowed to have a single beer?
Tailgating for a football game? Sorry no alcohol cause kids are there?

Honestly when I grew up and realized this wasn’t at every event I thought it was weird. When I grew up ever bday party at someone’s house had at least one ice chest of beer.

1 year olds don’t care about a birthday. Parents instead celebrate a year of keeping a child alive

I’ve seen it in Louisiana, Texas and Budapest Hungary. Parents want to relax... now I wouldn’t say everyone has a full bar, but beer and wine definitely.

Some people actually think like that.
At our school fair we sell beer, wine, frozen wine and at all the major cooking booths the parents are drinking while they work their asses off.
And there is no trashy people to be found. Never so much as an argument much less a fight.

It’s pretty common for a 1 year old bday party. It’s not like the kid is even aware that it’s his birthday. The party is more for the adults. After 1, trashiness level goes up with age until 16.

I have 4 kids...every one of their b day parties are like that here.

Children shouldn’t be around adults binge drinking. Sets a really bad example.
