Is this only appropriate for Louisiana?

Went to a 1 year old bday party in Ville Platte with pretty much a full bar and had more fun than the kids

No, it’s appropriate every where if you don’t have Puritan friends

If a party (especially a house party) offers no alcohol, you can leave within the hour.

I'm not going to your kids party if I can't have a beer or 4

a 1 year old's birthday party is more about the parents and friends hanging out and having fun

More people show up for your kids party if it doesn’t suck.

First time I ever saw the phenomenon was when I moved to Louisiana in 2008. I embraced the concept.

The people saying it’s trashy probably do live around trashy red necks. They associate alcohol with people getting shite faced and acting like assholes.

Meanwhile us normal people attend hundreds of social events a year where adults know how to have a few drinks and have fun without being drunks

I mean...as long as parents aren't getting trashed at a kid's bday party, who cares if an adult has a couple drinks to socialize?
