Ai should have a watermark. People are going to start thinking those videos are real.

Check out how many AI videos there are of German POW stories in WWII

you might be surprised at how many already do, particularly if you add in the deep-fakes

Are you saying the 8' tall woman in basketball shorts with the little guy is fake???
Surely not.
Surely not.

This is one example among many. The basic script is the same: A baby sits in the yard or on a porch with a dog nearby (and no parents anywhere) when *insert predator here* comes wandering in and the dog bravely attacks. Obviously AI combined source footage. Ive half a mind to do one myself that mocks this shite, maybe something like a Xenomorph coming into the yard. Or Bigfoot.

So, is AI just CGI made by computer instead of human?
Or a human telling AI to create a video of a dog defending a baby from a chupacabra, instead of a human making CGI to make it look like a dog is defending a baby from a chupacabra?
Or is it completely automated?

the ones created with sora do have a watermark, but i doubt it'll be long before idiots find a way to disable it...

Do you recall the obviously photoshopped pictures that used to be passed around as real in weekly world news and stuff?
The manipulation of reality is far far older than computers and AI.
There will always be people who will think fake stuff is real. Or people who will manipulate the truth and present falsehoods as real.
None of this is new. This is just the next form of it.

It can be. In these cases, its computer editing of different footage being combined to look as if all the subjects are filmed together. So now any shmuck can do for free what cost the producers of Forrest Gump millions of dollars.

So, like almost any tech it's gotten cheaper, easier and more accessible.
Think how much flat screens used to be

The worst are the “dog saves baby from bear/wolf/cougar” shorts.
Even worse is the “dog saves unsupervised baby from bookcases that seem to fall more than you think they do”

I don't mind the obvious big foot racist videos or anything that is not trying to pass itself off as a real person. A lot of those are hilarious.
The WW2 videos about when the Japanese knew they were going to lose or what happened when Hitler saw his first Jeep etc aren't even correct historically and the ai generated pictures are awful.
They need a tag or way to weed these out with some sort of watermark or warning. All ai generated videos need a way to signify it as unreal.

Do you need to be told the dinosaur in the grocery store isn't real either?

I get the AI tai chi ads all the time.

Is that real?
We're not in Kansas anymore.

I mean, this is pretty funny. But, I could see how it gets old quickly.
